Millennium Beach, Grand Rapids, Michigan

May 27 was a Memorial Day and since it was a three-day weekend, dad decided to bring our whole family for a vacation! Okay, not exactly a vacation, it’s more of a um… trip.

On the first day we went to Millennium Beach at Grand Rapids. It was so quiet at first that we thought the beach was closed. Crazy, huh? The reason it was quiet is because most people thought it might rain on that day, so barely any people went there. In case you are wondering: Yes, it did rained a few times, but that didn’t stop us from having fun.

Anyway, here is a picture of Millennium Beach….
The entrance to Millennium Beach
What is it? You want a picture of the inside? Umm, okay....
That's me standing in front of the very beach.
The three of us kids spent some time building sandcastles and digging holes (don’t ask). I admit it was actually pretty fun.
Me and Joyce, digging a hole.

My youngest sister, Kayce, building a sandcastle. Isn't she cute?
One, two, three, jump! Hey Kayce, you gotta jump on three! Why do you keep jumping on four or five….
…because I can have a picture of only myself!
We got bored of the beach some time later, so that’s when dad took us girls to a not-exactly-a -playground-place. It’s just some 'spider nets' to climb.

Me, climbing in flip-flops…

She looks cute in every picture.
Anyway, we didn’t really like the place so off we went to the Splash Pad!
What is the Splash Pad? Oh yeah, it's just freaking cold water shooting around and stuff. Joyce seemed to very enjoy it, but for me it’s just fine.

Here comes the pictures....
Brrrr...cold....

I'm a tiger in watermelon swimsuit carrying a water gun!

Another cute picture of that little nugget.

Let me chill for a while, I'm cold....
We used the hand dryer in the restrooms to dry us up since we didn't bring any towels. No kidding! I know it's hard to believe but it's true.

After that, we went outside the beach and found a playground. So of course we spent some time there….

The playground.

Me, swinging on my back with legs wrapped around the chains.
Gotta keep going!

So, I guess that’s pretty much all we did in the first day! My favorite one is the beach, Joyce’s favorite is the Splash Pad, and so are Kayce. Which one do you like the most?
